Fall Volleyball

Youth Sports Fall Volleyball registration will run from June 29 - July 31, 2015. Practices will begin the week of September 7, 2015 and the season will run from October 3 - November 21, 2015.

Liberty: Learn to Cook

Learn how to cook from one of our very own Liberty Staff- Kyle! We will shuttle you down to NCTAMS where we have our own kitchen to teach you how to cook. You do not need to bring anything, just your appetites! Event starts at 6:30 p.m., we will return to JBPHH by 9 p.m.

In this class, students will learn the basics of cookie decorating and different techniques. The include: types of icing consistency and their use, basic icing decorating skills such as marbling/wet-on wet, brush embroidery and more.

Just Drawing with Victoria Ledford

Develop your drawing skills with lessons on line, shape, shading and perspective. We'll practice drawing people, animals, landscapes and seascapes. Beginning and experienced artists welcome.

Introduction to Glass with Joan Tuers

A basic introduction to kiln formed glass. Students will learn how to cut, fuse and slump sheet glass to create their own functional works of art. In doing so, they learn about the basics of heat and time in relation to glass. By the end of each class, students will have at least one plate/platter to take home.

Intermediate Glass with Joan Tuers

This class goes over different fusing techniques in greater depth, as well as less commonly used slumping techniques. Students will learn about design concepts and execution, and expand their knowledge and familiarity with glass.

Craft Supply Yard Sale

Molokai St. Damien Tour (August)

Experience an unforgettable opportunity to visit Kalaupapa on the island of Molokai and hear the stories and walk the land of this former leper colony.

Peewee Basketball

Youth ages 9 - 12 years old come have some fun and make new friends, before heading back to school! We will have fun activities throughout the day.

Young Artist Hand Building with Clay with Rochelle Lum

This class is perfect for the young artist interested in learning basic pottery techniques: pinch-pots, coil building, etc. Students will also learn about underglaze and glaze technique by learning the entire process and how clay is transformed.

Start Smart Soccer Program

Start Smart Programs, created by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, help kids get ready for sportsand succeed in life. It is an innovative step-by-step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem in a fun and safe sports environment. Start Smart Soccer is open to children ages 3-5 years old who can attend each session with their parent or another significant adult 16 years and older) to prepare for organized sports.

reading patterns as well as different knitting supplies and yarn types. We will be working on a set of three dishcloths. This is a fun class for beginners of all ages!

Anime & Entertainment Art with Charis DeRemer

For tweens and teens that enjoy manga/comic/cartoon art and love to draw characters. Students learn how to create and develop their own characters for video games, animation films, comics, illustrations etc. through fun and exciting lessons in facial expression, action poses, costumes, and storytelling.

Hawaiian Quilted Baby/Wall Quilt with Sue Zane Williams

Students will learn the techniques of needle-turn appliqu and hand-quilting to create a heirloom Hawaiian baby or wall quilt from a pattern of their choice (as available from instructors collection).

Halloween Costume Making Class

What do you want to be for Halloween? This is a fun sewing class designed for the costume designer in you! Working with your choice of 5 patterns, learn how to create a unique design for yourself, child, toddler, or baby! Sewing experience required and you must have your own sewing machine.

Basic Digital Photography with Ron Steiner (Wednesdays)

Students will learn how to use their cameras to achieve various photographic techniques and understand digital photographic terminology and concepts. Lighting, framing and composition will be discussed to achieve quality images with a wide variety of examples provided. Low light, nature, sports, and leisure photography will no longer be guess work and you will capture pictures like youve always wanted to.

Wheel Throwing with Joel Park - Fridays

Creating ceramic forms on the potters wheel will be the main focus of this class. Functional as well as decorative ceramics will be explored. All of the fundamentals will be covered as well as advanced techniques. The class will progress at each individuals speed.
