Child Development Home

Our Child Development Homes program provides high quality childcare through a network of certified home providers living in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam housing. Home providers offer care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and developmentally appropriate activities in a home atmosphere. Hours are flexible to meet parents' needs. Programs include full time, part time, drop-in, evening, overnight and weekend care.

Become a Provider Stay at home and provide childcare for military and DoD personnel. Training is FREE and includes information on activities, health & safety techniques, CPR & first aid, business practices and tax tips.

Register for Full Time Care

1. Patrons will need to complete a CDH registration packet. This can be found under the documents and links tab

2. Patrons need to create a profile/register on My Military Child Care www.militarychildcare.com

    - On this website they will need to select what CDCs or CDHs they would prefer for location

3. Patrons should turn in the completed registration packet to the CDH office located at Peltier CDC to include 2 pay cycle LES

    - If both parents work they will need LES or Pay Stubs from both parties

    - If one parent works and the other attends school they will need to provide LES and College enrollment paperwork

4. Children will need to have current shot records to reflect TB and Flu immunizations

5. Once the paperwork is turned into the CDH office they will receive a username and password for the Navy CYP line Registration Platform

Register for Hourly Drop in Care

1. Patrons will need to complete a CDH registration packet. This can be found under the documents and links tab

2. Patrons should contact the CDH office of interest to inquire about drop in care and set-up an appointment to turn in paperwork

3. At this appointment Patrons should turn in a Complete Registration packet

4. Children will need to have current shot records to reflect TB and Flu immunizations

5. Once the paperwork is turned into the CDH office patrons will receive a username and password for the Nay CYP Online Registration Platform. This is where patrons can make future reservations for hourly care

Respond to our Community's Child Care Needs for:

- Infant and toddler care

- Care for children with special needs

- Care for children of parents who work evening or weekend shifts

- Full-time, part-time drop-in or hourly care for children 0-12 years old. It's the perfect profession for a parent who enjoys being around kids and wants to be there as they grow. Become a certified child care provider by attending a five-day training course, followed by monthly training sessions. You'll also need to complete modules on child development issues, done at your own pace. This rewarding career may be the change you've been looking for.

NOTE: Housing residents must be certified if they care for children in their home for more than 10 hours a week and or on a regular basis.
