Applying for HousingPrior to arriving on island, individuals with dependents should contact the Family Housing Office and schedule an appointment. Additionally, an advanced housing application should be faxed or mailed, along with a copy of orders and service record Page 2 (dependent verification), to (808) 474-1822. Or send an e-mail to
Pearl Harbor Housing. Submitting an advanced application does not add your name to the housing wait list; however, it does enable a shorter, more convenient housing appointment.
Individuals are required to report to the Family Housing Office as soon as possible within 72 hours of arrival in order to be eligible for arrival TLA. Scheduling an appointment in advance helps individuals meet this requirement since, due to customer volume, walk-ins may not be accommodated on the same day. You must report to the Family Housing Office even if your family is arriving at a later date. If you have already purchased a home or plan on buying one, found a place to rent, and/or plan to live with family or friends.
Family housing for Navy members is privatized. Forest City Military Communities, LLC (FCMC) partnered with the Department of the Navy to manage, maintain and revitalize neighborhoods in and around Pearl Harbor and on the island of Kauai. Click on
